Title: Integrating Multiple Electrode Reaction Pathways within a Single Square-Wave Voltammetric Framework-MATHCAD working file

Abstract: Square-wave voltammetry (SWV) is one of the most powerful electroanalytical techniques for investigating the kinetics and mechanisms of electrode processes. However, the interpretation of voltammetric responses arising from complex electrochemical mechanisms involving multiple coupled chemical and electron-transfer steps remains challenging. In this work, we present a unified computational framework (diffusional ECrevEC' mechanism) that integrates multiple electrode reaction pathways within a single square-wave voltammetric model. The approach is implemented as a fully functional Mathcad working file, allowing systematic simulation and analysis of diverse electrochemical mechanisms, including reversible, quasireversible, and irreversible electron-transfer reactions coupled with homogeneous chemical steps. The framework enables users to explore the influence of kinetic parameters, equilibrium constants, and experimental conditions on the resulting square-wave voltammetric response. By combining several mechanistic scenarios into a single computational platform, the model provides a versatile tool for mechanistic interpretation, theoretical studies, and teaching purposes in electrochemistry. The developed Mathcad environment facilitates intuitive visualization of voltammetric patterns and offers a practical resource for researchers studying complex electrode reaction mechanisms using square-wave voltammetry.
