Author: Lepirica, Alen
Abstract: In this paper, deep fluviokarst canyons reshaped on limestones and dolomites of the Dinarides of Bosnia and Herzegovina were analyzed from the geomorphological and tourism aspects. In the geomorphological sense, fluviokarst canyons of Bosnia and Herzegovina are diverse in the morphogenetic, morphotectonic, and morphological aspect. Mostly, these relief line depressions are most common in the Dinaric mountainous part of central, eastern, southeastern, and western Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the karst terrains prevails. In addition to the geomorphological characteristics of canyons, we highlighted their natural possibilities for the development of various types of tourism.
